Sazerac Rye 18 Year Rye Whiskey 2021

Distilled in 2003 and bottled in 2021 at 90 proof, this whiskey was distilled from Minnesota rye, Kentucky corn, and North Dakota malted barley. The wonderfully mature, rich, and complex expression spent 18 years and 6 months maturing in new American oak casks (#4 char).Nose:Peppermint and menthol capture your attention upfront on the nose, backed by classic rye spice.Palate:The palate then brings semisweet Baker's chocolate to the table, along with tannic oak, pine needles, cinnamon and cloves.Finish:The finish is fairly quick, with cedar, black pepper and vanilla, with a closing flourish of Peppermint Patties.Bottle Size: 750ml
